FEK special tours ‘Culinary delights on the Rhine’

Our special train leaves Cologne main station at around 11.00 a.m. and travels along the romantic Middle Rhine route to Mainz and back to Cologne. Our special train will be hauled by a historic electric locomotive. You will have the opportunity to admire the romantic scenery of the Middle Rhine from both the left and right bank of the Rhine and at the same time enjoy the elegant and cosy atmosphere in the Rheingold carriages.

The following ‘delicacies’ await you:
To get you in the mood, we welcome all passengers in the table carriages with a glass of Rheingold sparkling wine. The route takes us via Linz am Rhein, Neuwied, Koblenz, Boppard, Oberwesel and Mainz-Kaiserbrücke along the Rhine and Rheingau to Koblenz-Ehrenbreitstein.
During the journey, we will serve you the six-course menu designed by Klaus Kremer at your festively decorated table.

In Koblenz-Ehrenbreitstein, we will take a short break during which you can ‘stretch your legs’ before travelling back towards Cologne. Arrival in Cologne will be around 17:00.

Our special train is made up of Rheingold carriages from different eras, including the legendary observation carriage.

The price includes:
Travel on the special train in 1st class at tables, Rheingold sparkling wine as a welcome drink and the gala menu. Not included are the table drinks, which you should pay directly to our volunteer service staff.
A minimum number of 130 participants is required for this trip.
