Every year in March, traders take advantage of the opportunity to present the latest trade fair innovations and most popular fabrics at fair prices at the German-Dutch Fabric Market at the start of the season. The high visitor numbers recorded by the fabric market provide additional motivation for both retailers and visitors. 

The German-Dutch fabric market is also joined by a number of specialists in beads, stones and jewellery accessories, who offer materials and accessories for individual jewellery design. As with fabrics, there are hardly any finished products in this area, only accessories for designing and making your own creations. 

Traditionally, the market also marks the start of the new season for Remagen's retailers. On the first Sunday of the year when shops are open, it invites visitors to stroll, marvel, shop and enjoy themselves in Remagen's town centre and gives a foretaste of the Remagen markets to come.
