The two tourist information offices of the towns of Bingen and Ingelheim are launching a new cooperation project this summer. Under the title “Culture and wine, get on board!”, a tour in the historic Postbus will be offered for the first time at the end of June. The trip in the nostalgic bus takes you from Ingelheim to Bingen and is expertly accompanied by Rhine-Hessian culture and wine ambassadors.
The bus tour starts at 10 a.m. at the Ingelheim wine cellar with a welcome sparkling wine in the vinotheque and a short tour of the “Cellar Comrades” exhibition.
The post bus then sets off in the direction of Bingen. On the way, the Rhine-Hessian culture and wine ambassadors provide interesting background information on history, nature and, of course, the excellent wines from the region.
Around midday, the group will enjoy a three-wine tasting at the Michel winery in Bingen, followed by lunch at the Bingen Vinothek with magnificent views of the Rheingau and the Bingen Mäuseturm. Well fortified, we then take the nostalgic bus up to Bingen's Rochusberg, where guests can enjoy a walk with magnificent views of the Rhine Valley. Via the Laurenziberg and the Jakobsberg (with a wine stop at the Lich winery), guests return to the starting point at the Ingelheim wine cellar.
Tickets for the tours are available at the tourist information offices in Ingelheim (Binger Straße 16, D-55218 Ingelheim) and Bingen (Rheinkai 21, D-55411 Bingen) as well as online at: https://bit.ly/ticketsbustour
