The cold water geyser in Andernach is the highest of its kind in the world with a jump height of up to 60 metres.
First drilled in 1903 on the Namedyer Werth to extract CO2 for mineral water, the facility was decommissioned in 1957 and closed with a gate valve in 1967.
It has been open to tourists again since 2006, and the new adventure centre in Andernach shows many interesting and interesting facts about the volcanic origin of the Vulkaneifel.
A visit to the adventure centre and the geyser on the Namedyer Werth is a very impressive experience.
